What If I was pregnant and went into surgery?

Im soupose to be going ito surgery this thursday for my right cuz they found a cist or somthing,but they said there not sure what it might be so there going to take it out and look at it underneath a microscope.If I were to be pregnant and they did surgery while im pregnant and put me to sleep with that laughing g or what ever they use during surgery's,could that kill me or the baby. I was jsut woundering cuz I dont know about surgery's cuz I never had one.
