What would an impact on Jupiter be compared to an impact on Earth?

Since Jupiter is mainly a great ball of gas, and Earth is not, how would the "Pacific Ocean-sized impact" on Jupiter recently be compared to if the comet/asteroid had hit Earth, burning up in Earth's atmosphere and hitting the ground, would the impact still be the same size, smaller, or larger?
