Verizon Wireless Texting...?

I just got the Unlimited Texting Plan to anyone from Verizon. I know you get unlimited IMs and stuff, but does anybody know if I were to use IM forwarding, if that is also free too? Or do I only get to use Mobile IM? I hope this makes sense! Thanks
